How to become A Good Android Developer

Imagine what your android smart phone would be without those apps that you love so much. Starting from the apps that you use to access your social media pages and games, apps are essentially make your phone what it is.
Our lives today are so dependent on apps and there are new ones being developed daily for different purposes. The apps have touched our lives in a way that if today they were to disappear from our phones life would never be the same again. Imagine if you did not have that app that you use for your diet program or work out? What if you were unable to access your favorite social media site because you did not have an app to do so?

The importance of apps for the smooth running of our daily lives cannot be overemphasize. This is especially so with the increased migration from desktop computers to smartphones and tablets. Development of apps is slowly becoming a simpler task that anyone can do after a few lessons. However, developing a functional app that can be used by many people is still a challenge to many developers. Developing an app is easy; developing a good one is the more difficult part.

Important tips on developing a good app

Be willing to learn. Just like anything else in life, your willingness to learn will determine if you are able to make a great app or not. App development may not be rocket science but it is also not as simple as taking a cup of tea. Willingness to learn and a little dedication will ensure that you learn all the coding necessary to develop an app fast.

Basic knowledge in some specific areas like XML and Java is an added advantage. This acts as a good foundation of any android developers to build on. Knowledge of these areas makes your learning much easier and faster as you are able to grasp the concept behind app development quicker. However, if you know nothing about any of this it does not mean you cannot become a good app developer. Everything you need to know can still be taught to you.

Trial and error is a good learning experience. In the beginning you may create terrible apps but this shouldn’t discourage you. In a learning process you get better after trying a couple of times. It is through trying that you will be able to identify the areas you are not good at. After a couple of trials you will start noticing some improvements which should encourage you to push on.

Make it as simple as possible. What kind of apps do you like on your phone? Chances are you like the ones that are simple to use. This is the same for most people and so when developing an app the simpler it is the better. Most people learning how to develop apps fail because they are always focusing their effort on developing something very complex. Remember that simple does not mean that your app is substandard.

Focus on the real world. The most successful apps are the ones that try to emulate the real world as much as possible. Unless you are creating a game then the real world should be your main focus when learning and developing your app. When doing this also keep in mind that the purpose of an app is to make things better for its users.

Where to learn

When you think about that magnificent app that you enjoy using so much you assume it was created by a tech graduate from one of the best colleges in the world but that is not necessarily true. Learning how to make an app is quite simple and you can do it online from the comfort of your home.

Some of the good websites you can learn app development would include.

1. Developer Android

Developer Android is Google’s official android app development page. Here you will find all the materials you will need to learn app development.

2. Treehouse

This is a subscription based program but very rich in resources. Here you will get to learn all the basics of app development and also all the complex stuff you will need at a later date.

3.Udemy

Udemy also has a very good course on app development. It is a good place to learn especially for those without prior knowledge.

This article may not be professional for you but these are very important points and can be helpful for those who want to start android development. After all, How can one expect to learn android development from a single article? Go ahead and start learning. best of luck

How to overclock your graphics card easily

Overclock your graphics card with MSI Afterburner

Graphic card companies create lots of overclocking software. Overclocking is pretty much easy and simply by using MSI afterburner which supports both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards and also if they aren’t made by MSI. Inside the software you will find all the things you need to overclock the card like fan speed and temperature.  To overclock any graphics card you need to pay attention to three things the power limit, the core clock and memory clock.

Changing Power Limit will allow GPU pull in more power which is usually a necessity depending on how far you want to push the overclock. The Core Clock is the most important thing is the higher this is generally the better performance.  Memory Clock which also plays major role in getting the most out of your card.

Start slowly increase your Power and Core Clock slightly and give it a try while testing an actual game is always important. While working out settings Kombustor (click the K on the top left to start) is a great tool which comes in MSI Afterburner.

Take an Example for Core Clock; let’s take its 1000 MHz. It is best to pump up slowly, maybe to 1050 at first.

Load up the GPU test and let it run for 5 to 10 minutes. Definitely keep an eye on temperature to make sure that it is not exceeding the maximum. Watch the test closely if you see Artifacts randomly showing up you are pushing up the overclock too high so it’s good to pull back a bit and try again. Once you are looking at a stable Core Clock it’s time to move on to the Memory. It is pretty much same processes just slowly increase until you run into Artifacts to crashing, once you are happy with both of them roughly where you want them. Make sure that to test both of them together that everything is nice and solid.

PS: There are some risks. As long as you don’t go crazy it can really pay off.

How To Delete Yourself From The Internet

Have you ever wondered what information web pages have on you? Just perform a simple google search and check out the results! You will get surprised that they even know your dog’s name, some photos you took while very drunk are there as well. Even some stupid videos you took way back in college. And your prospective employer has access to all this info too. This may be the reason why you sent job applications and get no answer!

In this article, I am going to explain you little secret that can be used to disappear from the internet, leaving no trace completely.

1. Do a basic search with the keyword being your name, this is the most basic thing. So that you can get to know what you are dealing with.

2. Make note of all websites which display your information. It may be a donor site you sponsored sometimes back, a friend’s blog which has your name or pictures , a former employee website which still has your database or so on. Find the email address of the administrator and sent them a mail requesting them to delete the information or at least remove your name from it.

3. Remove your addresses, phone and contact details from shopping website and then delete all your shopping website’s account.

3. Get away from social media. This can be achieved by deactivating all your social media accounts. For important Email providers like G-mail and yahoo, just remove your personal info like name, address and so on. Using a service like DeleteMe can make removing yourself from the Internet less of a headache.

4. Be anonymous in search engines,do not log in, just use it without supplying your personal information like Location, Email and so on.

5.You can request search engines like Google, yahoo or bing to remove you from their rankings by filling a simple course.

By sticking with the five steps I have outlined in this post, you will be able to remove all the traces of your existence from the web. To find out the results of your hard work, just search your name again . If nothing is displayed, then mission accomplished!

Secure yourself from phishing attacks using this Google tool

Google’s constructed another arrangement in the battle against phishing. The free Password Alert Chrome extension keeps track of where you enter your Google account secret key and alarms you when you’ve entered it somewhere other than accounts.google.com.

This does two things: it keeps you from re-utilizing your Google secret password on different locales, and it ensures you in the event that you’ve entered your watchword on a site that is professing to be Google to gather your private data, a practice otherwise called phishing.

For a snappy groundwork, phishing is the point at which a gathering or individual postures as a genuine organization or association to get your delicate data, for example, passwords, standardized savings numbers or credit card

numbers. In a phishing assault, you may get an email from somebody putting on a show to be Google requesting that you write in your record subtle elements on a pernicious site.

If you somehow managed to enter your Google watchword on that site, Password Alert will demonstrate a message telling you that “Your Gmail secret key was simply presented to a non-Gmail page” and that you ought to change your password instantly. This message shows up when you wrap up the last character in your secret password, and it lives up to expectations whether you’re needing another record or essentially attempting to log in into a non-Google site.

Password Alert is anything but difficult to situated up and utilization. Here’s the way to begin:

  • Install the Password Alert expansion from the Chrome Web Store.
  • The expansion will incite you to enter your username and password for your Google record, regardless of the fact that you’re as of now logged in.
  • After you enter that data, Password Alert will begin observing where you enter your Google secret password.

At the point when Password Alert is empowered, you’ll see a caution at whatever point you enter your Google or Gmail password anyplace outside of Google. You can decide to disregard it, on the off chance that you know you’ve entered your secret word on a sheltered site (like Amazon or Facebook), or snap the connection to reset your secret key.

5 Cool Uses for Your Old Android Phone

If you have an old Android phone stored away in your junk drawer or gathering dust on your bedroom shelf, why not find an alternative way to use it? Although you may think you have no use for your old phone, now that you have a newer model, we have come up with five fantastic uses for your old Android device. Take a look and see what you think.

Cool Uses for Your Old Android Phone

Transform your old Android phone into a dedicated MP3 player and save the battery of your new smart phone.

1. MP3 Player :-

You may enjoy listening to music on your phone during your commute to college or work, but have you ever thought about how much battery life it wastes? What if this was your last bit of battery that you really should have saved in case of an emergency? Instead of leaving this to chance, use your old Android phone as a dedicated MP3 player instead. It will have plenty of storage room for all of your music, seeing as you do not actually use it for anything else. It also won’t contain a sim card, so if you are listening to music whilst you work, you won’t get distracted by phone calls or text messages.

2. Remote control :-

You can transform your old Android phone into a fully functional remote control by simply downloading an app. There are plenty of free applications on the Android Marketplace to choose from. You may want to transform your Android phone into a television remote, computer control or even a remote for your DSLR camera. Whatever you choose, it is sure to make your life a little easier and prevent you from having to forever change the batteries in your individual remote controls.

Remote-control-Uses-for-Your-Old-Android-Phone

Rather than using a number of remotes to control your various devices, why not use your old Android phone instead?

3. Sat nav :-

If you have been deciding whether or not you can justify the expense of a sat nav, why not use your old Android phone instead? By simply downloading a free application like Navfree, you will be able to benefit from having an offline sat nav that does not require a data connection. Fix your old device inside your car and you will never have to worry about getting lost when you are out and about. The fact that it will only be working as a sat nav means that it won’t be affected by phone calls or emails.

4. Baby monitor :-

Many new parents like to keep an eye on their babies, even when they are not in the same room by using an IP camera and monitor. The problem is that the monitors can often be quite expensive, so why not use your old Android phone instead? There are a number of excellent applications which you can download on your phone so that you can connect it up to your IP camera. Alternatively, if you do not have a baby, you could always use your phone as a monitor for any security cameras you have in your home.

5. Digital photo frame :-

Although digital photographs are fantastic, in order to display them in your home you have to purchase a digital photo frame. At least you would have to, if you don’t already own an old Android phone. You see, your old Android phone can actually be transformed into a digital photo frame using the slideshow option on your device. Simply purchase a dock to display your phone and place it on the mantelpiece in your living room. Alternatively you could transform your Android phone into a digital alarm clock by purchasing a dock and setting it up on your bedside table.

Conclusion :-

Just because you have bought a new phone, doesn’t mean you have to forget about your old one. Rather than leaving your phone in a cupboard to get dusty, or sending it off to a recycling company, why not reutilise it yourself? Give your phone a brand new purpose and you can save yourself a lot of money!

5 Common Mistakes That Fresh Hackers Make

Starting out as a beginner in hacking can be a lot of fun, but there are some common mistakes that most make. If you’re reading this, then you have the unique advantage of avoiding these mistakes when you’re still news. The following five points will tell you what not to do in your journey towards becoming a true hacker.

3. Don’t use keyloggers and Trojans found as freeware online. These software aren’t meant to be free and you will be giving access to your own computer to another hacker.

4. Programming and scripting languages are very important parts of any hacker’s arsenal. If you plan to use software only then you would also be limited by the software’s functionalities.

5. A good hacker is a good programmer, security expert, developer and good script writer. It is usually not the other way around. You must known this for cross site scripting like P

So, hacking is not simply about making your way into websites and leaving your mark. You have a great set of talents a can also get the best jobs in the industry.

Computer Hacking In The New Age, All You Need To Know About Hacking Today

Every human discovery has pros and cons, so is the computer which has pervaded all our lives. The modern humanity is increasingly dependent on computer for various day-to-day activities. Computers do us a whole lot of good things, but it is not without some pitfalls. With the extensive use of internet for hundreds of our needs, computer opens a vicious cycle of hackers. Computer hacking is a term which refers to an individual’s illegal and unauthorized access to the data which are stored in a user’s system. This is done to disturb the confidentiality and security of the user’s computer.

The hackers focus on individuals’ computer system when they are online. As long as you are not connected to internet you are less prone to hacking. The access to internet has actually made computer hacking easy. You must protect your computer with strong antivirus and firewall programs to keep hackers away. Hackers are known for creating problems which are difficult to solve. This gives a good business to computer investigators and technicians. Hacking can be done in lots of ways. Few of them are given below:

  •     Worms: These are the programs which propagate through networks.
  •     Trojans: These are hidden in websites, attached files and emails.
  •     Viruses: These attach themselves to various kinds of files. They can damage certain functions of your computer.

Hackers also crash on wireless networks which do not have firewall installed and enabled. They can also send email attachments with malicious software which get embedded on the victim’s computer. Hackers attack accounts which have weak passwords. All these are done to get access to confidential and sensitive information of the users. Whatever is the method of hacking, the effect is harmful for the user. Your system will be flooded with viruses, malwares which steal your information. In order to avoid hacking one has to make sure that the systems at home or office have the latest anti-virus program and firewall installed and enabled. These programs need to be regularly updated. Use the latest browser and scan your computer on a regular basis.

New Age...

The New Age of internet has brought with it many risk factors along with umpteen advantages. The New Age is the time where our personal lives are no longer very personal, but people are able to access personal information of internet users from various sources in the virtual world. We need to be careful about usernames and passwords, else it will lead to dangerous consequences. Universities, large companies and government agencies are mostly targeted by hackers simply because of the bulk of information they handle. The great newspapers like The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times were also targeted by hackers.

Computer hackers are people who gain remote access to information stored in a system elsewhere. During the 1950s and 60s hackers were more drawn towards learning the operations of a computer rather than stealing confidential information of a remote user. Unlike the olden days, now computer hacking has become more sophisticated and organized. In the late 1990s hackers tried to get access to files in the network of Pentagon. Some more expert hackers gained access to the patent files at the Indiana University School of Medicine in February 2003. Many hackers were sentenced in the history since hacking represents a potential national security threat.

Viruses

One major tool hackers use to steal information from computer systems is the use of viruses. Over the years the number of viruses has increased drastically. The virtual world now has above 100000 viruses and the number grows virtually every day. Apart from the threat the computer hackers pose, they also can be beneficial in one way. They can bring to light the flaws in a computer network. Hackers can help in redesigning the system and in making information inaccessible to illegal users and to unauthorized access.

Getting Administrative Access

Getting a log in password is one of the predominant ways to get access to a computer which is by the side of the hacker. Getting remote access to a computer is another way to hack a system. Managing to crack a Wi-Fi password is the third method of sneaking into someone else’s system. Hacking if done on a public or school computer will have serious consequences. The hacker will be put behind the bars for illegally accessing the computer which does not belong to him or her.

How to Find Your IP Address When Browsing On Your Mobile

Whether you’re trying to create a media center remote, or wireless file server, there are a number of cellphone and computer applications that need your smartphone’s IP address.

Finding these can be a real drag, on some smartphone brands more than on others. Below is an extensive tutorial to find these IP addresses, both global/public and local.

Read on for an illustrated tutorial for the major smartphone brands, including Android, iPhone, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry.

1. Global IP Addresses

There are two kinds of IP Addresses. A global or public or external IP address is used to identify you across the internet. It’s network specific; this means that every computer using the same network to access the internet (e.g. at your home) have the same global IP address.

If you’ve got a computer on the same (Wi-Fi) network, it might be easier to use than a mobile phone. If you’re accessing the internet using GPRS or 3G technology (i.e. via your carrier), you can use this technique to find your (carrier’s) IP address as well.

Finding your global IP address can be done the same on all smartphone brands. Simply point your mobile phone’s web browser to http://www.whatip.com/. There you go. Alternative websites are CmyIP.com and touch.WhatsMyIP.org.

2. Local IP Addresses

Local IP Addresses are used to identify a computer within a single network (e.g. at home). Because they are network-specific, these are often re-occurring. They can also change whenever you (re)connect to a network. Amongst other things, this is what you need if you want to remotely access another device.

To be able to see your local IP address, first make sure your mobile is connected to a (Wi-Fi) network.

2.a – Android Phone

On your Android phone, hit the menu button and go to Settings -> Wireless controls -> Wi-Fi settings. If you aren’t already connected to a Wi-Fi network, do so now.

In the networks list, again tap the network you are currently connected with. A pop-up with network specifics will appear, listing your current IP address at the bottom.

2.b – iPhone

On your iPhone, go to Settings -> Wi-Fi networks and make sure Wi-Fi is turned on. If you aren’t already connected to a wireless network, do so now. Tap the blue arrow at the right hand side of the network.

You’ll be able to find your IP address on the resulting screen of network specifics. In the far right tab, you can make your IP address static. This will make your telephone pick the IP address upon connecting to the network, instead of the router, and will make sure you retain the IP address if you ever revisit the network.

2.c – Windows Mobile

On Windows Mobile, go to Start -> Settings -> Network cards. Listed there are all the available network adapters. Select the one you need to find the IP address for – in most cases, that’ll be the wireless adapter – and pick Edit.

Here you’ll see your IP address, no matter if you use a dynamic or static IP address (see screenshot above).

2.d – BlackBerry

Depending on the type of BlackBerry phone, either go through Manage Connections -> Wi-Fi Options, or via the general Options -> Wi-Fi Connections.

If you’re using BlacBerry Device Software 4.5 or earlier, select Wi-Fi Diagnostics in the Wi-Fi Connections pane. For later versions, select W-Fi Tools -> Wi-Fi Diagnostics.

In the network specifics that follow, you’ll be able to find your IP address. If you’re looking for a more elaborate overview, subsequently select Options -> Display Mode -> Advanced, and Options -> Save.

In Whatsapp ,how you sent one message to many people at one click. You see below post and try broadcast in whatsapp.

How to Broadcast (bcc) a WhatsApp message and what it means

When living abroad or in a different city than your family and friends, it sometimes gets hard to keep in touch. Nowadays most people are using WhatsApp (though this may have decreased due toseveral pesky reasons) which makes it a lot easier to get in touch. Even aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas are catching on. A great way to save time yet still give others updates or just share some news, is to broadcast a message to various people within a broadcast list.  This is just like the bcc function (blind carbon copy) in email. The best part is that each person won’t know that the message is also sent to others.

First you will have to set up a broadcast list with the people that should receive common messages in the future, like your extended family for example or perhaps a group a friends, study group to set up home work sessions or your children. There are many different scenarios here.

1. Open the WhatsApp application.

2. From the main chats screen, hit the menu button of your smartphone, which is either one of the capacitative or the action menu button on the top right corner.

3. In the ‘New broadcast list’ page, hit the + symbol which will bring up all of your contacts.

Scroll through and check the boxes next to the names you would like in your group.

4. Once this is done, hit ‘Create’.

5. WhatsApp reminds you that only users that have your phone number in their address book will get the message.

6. After you have created this group, you can either send a message right away or go back to this group whenever you need it in the future. You will see a little loudspeaker symbol next to the usual message timestamp.

7. The good thing is, the others won’t be able to see the contact names or phone numbers. They will get the message as a normal message and when they reply, you’ll get a normal message from that individual contact in your Chats screen, not in the Broadcast List. It’s really a one-way street.

You can also edit the group after having made it, it’s not set in stone. To do this, open the Broadcast List once again and hit the menu button. Select Broadcast list info. Here you can choose a name for that group, add recipients, remove them or delete the entire list completely.

MessengerINSTALL

This list is pretty useful in my opinion. It keeps the anonymity of each person while allowing you to write many at a time and save time
