Run Multiple Skype Accounts on One PC at Same Time

Skype is a free VoIP messaging service that is developed by Microsoft . Skype also offers a free instant messaging client by which we can connect with the people from all over world who are using Skype. With Skype, you can make video calls and use as instant messaging system.

By default, in windows platform – Skype allows us to install and use with only  one account. But there is a way to install and run multiple Skype accounts on the same PC.
Getting Started:

1) Download and install Skype instant messaging client on your computer.

2) After installation, find out and copy the location of “Skype.exe”, that is, the default installation directory would like

“C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe” (for 32-bit OS)

“C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe” (for 64-bit OS)

3) Now open “Run” command prompt from windows start menu. (or win key+r)

In the Run window, type the following command (including the quotes) and press OK.

Paste the installation path that you have copied in step 2, in run command prompt and add /secondary after it.

So it will look like this:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe” /secondary

Note: Don’t forget to enclose the installation path with double inverted commas.

Note:This works for Skype versions above 4.0

4) Once you save it you will be able to start a new instance every time you double click on the new shortcut.
5) Once done, press Enter to run multiple Skype accounts.!
